What Parents are Saying

We’ve been at QAJP for about a year. Our daughter, Evie, joined the program when she was a little over 2 years old. Before that, we never had her in daycare, so I was terrified of sending her somewhere. But we met Chaya, toured QAJP, and instantly fell in love. The school is small, calming, and the children are cared for by incredible women. It has been invaluable having somewhere I completely trust in taking great care of our daughter. Plus, they have helped her grow tremendously. She was shy and uncomfortable around other kids, but after a semester at QAJP, she really started to blossom socially. She loves her school, friends, and Morahs and so do we. We plan on sending our soon-to-be-born second daughter when she’s old enough and would recommend the school to anyone looking for somewhere truly special.

There are so many options for childcare, and yet so few that matched what we were looking for. In truth, as new parents, we were not sure what that even looked like. They say “when you know, you know”, and while that may sound cliche, the second we walked into QAJP with our 1 month old child, saw Chaya’s warm smile, the Jewish home QAJP built, and what they offered, we knew this preschool was it.
The philosophies, core values, Jewish learnings, and approaches to teaching make my heart physically swell with joy. I know that the QAJP has a mission and vision of truly nurturing our children and their goal is so palpably obvious on a daily basis. Everything they do is intentional with careful weaving of meaning into the curriculum. Alex loves his Morahs, they are warm, caring, attentive and provide all the post nap snuggles and love he could want. How could I ever imagine this new generation of children growing up any differently? Eternally grateful for this preschool’s vision of what childcare should and does look like.

We are so lucky to have found QAJP. We’ve been sending our oldest daughter since she was one years old (now three) and it has been a thrill watching her grow, learn and thrive in such a nurturing environment. Chaya and the full team of Morot (teachers) create a well-balanced and thoughtful curriculum, bringing learning, creativity and fun for the kids everyday. In addition to the school, parent events, kids Shabbats, and holiday celebrations at the Chabad engage the whole family. It is more than a nursery school- it is a community. We cannot wait to have her younger sister join her in August!

QAJP is our family's third preschool experience and definitely our favorite. The teachers have created a warm, nurturing, and joyous environment for the children. Our son loves going to school everyday and not only do we know he's happy while at school, we witness all the wonderful learning as he grows. We also love the community we found through QAJP.

Our youngest son, Daniel, has started going to QAJP this year and we couldn't be happier. Daniel spent his first two years at home, so we were naturally wondering what it would be like for him to be around a large group of kids. Luckily, the experience at QAJP has been nothing short of amazing. With a small group of sweet children and teachers who provide love and warmth from day 1, Daniel has quickly adapted to preschool life. There is nothing more gratifying than seeing him happily go up the stairs, give a big hug to his teacher and wave goodbye happily.
Daniel has also made such progress developmentally -- he has become much more verbal (English is his second language), his coordination and motor skills have leapfrogged, and he is constantly singing the songs he learns at preschool! We moved to Seattle from Israel a few years ago, and it was important for us that Daniel learn about Jewish traditions, holidays, and customs. QAJP has provided the perfect environment for his learning experience along with the wonderful community of parents that are part of the school. Daniel is our third child and we have been through many daycares -- QAJP was exactly what we were looking for!

We feel so lucky to be part of the QAJP family. It’s definitely more than a school - there’s no better joy than to see your child thrive in a loving environment filled with engaging and thoughtful developmental activities every day. Kids have weekly music and movement classes, they learn, play, walk, read, cook, imagine, and form friendship bonds we didn’t know were possible. The community of parents is a group of incredible and warm people. Director Chaya and her team are the rarest gem of all. They are the soul of the school and it shows in every little detail, from nature-inspired child-appropriate furniture and prepared environment to selection of thematic activities or experiments for children. We also really value the Jewish education at the school - our daughter is only 2.5, but she already knows all the major Jewish holidays, can say a blessing on Shabbat candles and recognizes Hebrew letters. Jewish education is woven into the fabric of the school and is presented in a really engaging and approachable way. We also love all the family and community events adjacent to the school - being part of this welcoming community has been one of the best parts of moving to Seattle.

Last year we moved to Seattle and QAJP was the first stop in our life here. It soon became a home for all of us, not just for our daughter. The caring and welcoming we feel from QAJP staff is beyond words and we feel blessed that these are the people taking care of our daughter. The teachers are warm, patient and support our daughter's growth. There is so much thought put into every activity. QJAP always feels like a happy, shiny place. Our daughter runs into the classroom every day with a big smile. And we feel part of a very special community. We truly recommend QJAP!

I cannot say enough great things about Queen Anne Jewish Pre-School. My family moved here almost a year ago from New York and we were looking for a warm and loving community to be a part of. My son has had such a happy, creative and educational year at QAJP and comes to school every day with pure joy and excitement. We have enjoyed the wonderful holiday events throughout the year and meeting so many great people in the community. My family and I are so happy to have found Queen Anne Jewish Pre-School!

Our boys Zev (age 4) and Elon (age 2) recently completed their first year at Queen Anne Jewish Preschool. The experience for the boys — and their parents — has been amazing. The teachers at the school are warm, loving, and clearly committed to providing age-appropriate emotional, developmental, and Jewish education. We have been consistently impressed by what our boys learn each day, how well they have come to relate to other kids, their newfound abilities to manage their emotions, and the little men they are growing into with the help of Queen Anne Jewish Preschool.
